Relay: Remote Play

Privacy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Relay is an independent Xbox Remote Play app provided by Jamie Faulkner. Contact: jamiefaulkner@live.com.

Microsoft account and Xbox services

Relay connects to Microsoft to sign you in, discover your consoles and start Remote Play. It requests your gamertag, gamer picture, Gamerscore and recent game information to personalise the dashboard. Images may load from the image addresses returned by Xbox services. These connections share your IP address and the information needed to fulfil the request with the service provider. Microsoft handles your Microsoft sign-in credentials; Relay uses access tokens to make authorised requests.

On your device

Relay stores a refresh token in the system Keychain so you can reconnect, and stores app preferences locally. Sign out in Relay to remove its saved sign-in token and clear the displayed account information. Signing out does not delete your Microsoft account or Xbox history. Deleting the app removes its local preferences; sign out first to remove the Keychain token.

Remote Play and microphone

Game video, audio and controller inputs are exchanged with the services and console used for your Remote Play session. Microphone access is optional. Each session starts muted, and Relay sends microphone audio for voice chat only when you enable it during a stream.

Purchases

Apple processes the optional one-time Relay Pro purchase. Relay uses Apple's StoreKit to check purchase entitlement and restore purchases. Relay does not receive your card details.

Analytics and advertising

Relay does not include advertising or third-party analytics, and does not send your account information to a developer-operated server.

Support

If you email support, Jamie Faulkner receives the address and information you include and uses it to respond and resolve the issue. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. You can request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing jamiefaulkner@live.com, subject to any applicable retention obligations.

Changes

This notice may be updated when Relay's features or data practices change.
